Award

By GPA on a 4.0 scale, four-year totals: KU Excellence 3.95+ $64,000 ($16,000 per year); KU Distinction 3.85-3.94 $56,000 ($14,000); KU Achievement 3.70-3.84 $48,000 ($12,000); KU Performance 3.5-3.69 $40,000 ($10,000); KU Access 3.25-3.49 $32,000 ($8,000).

Deadline

Submit a complete application for admission by December 1, including a transcript.

Automatic with a complete admission application by December 1. No test score needed.

Who can apply

Out-of-state freshmen enrolling full time the fall after high school. KU uses weighted or unweighted GPA after sixth semester, whichever helps more (weighted only if school-wide and on the transcript).

Good to know

Page does not name an entry year and says amounts are reviewed each year; confirm for fall 2027. No seventh-semester upgrades or GPA rounding. Renewal: 3.0 KU GPA, full time. Not stackable with Missouri Tuition Reciprocity for architecture.
