New Nebraskan Tuition Scholarship

Award

$20,000 per year (extraordinary GPA, or with outstanding rank and/or 34 ACT or SAT equivalent) or $15,000 per year (high GPA, or with high rank and/or 24 ACT or SAT equivalent), toward tuition for up to four years. Chancellor's Tuition Scholarship for national scholar finalists: full non-resident portion of tuition plus $4,000 per year.

Deadline

Priority: November 1 (scholarship notices February 11). Final: May 1.

How to apply

Automatic consideration with the admission application; supplemental Scholarship Application by February 1 for departmental and leadership awards.

Who can apply

Out-of-state first-year students. Cumulative GPA required; ACT/SAT preferred, not required. Must be a U.S. citizen or qualified alien lawfully present.

Good to know

Selection includes a subjective final academic review, so the thresholds are not exact. Page does not name an entry year. Renewal: 3.0 GPA and 24 hours per year.
