- Arizona residents: $15,000 per year for National Merit Finalists ($60,000 over four years) or $10,000 per year for College Board National Recognition Program awardees ($40,000 over four years). Nonresidents: $17,500 per year for eight semesters ($70,000 over four years) for National Merit Finalists or National Recognition Program awardees who are admitted to and enroll in Barrett, The Honors College. Replaces any earlier New American University award.

- National Merit Finalists must select ASU as their first-choice institution with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation by May 1 (displayed without a year).
- How to apply
- Apply to ASU, activate your ASURITE ID, and (for nonresidents) apply to and enroll in Barrett, The Honors College. Finalists must name ASU as first choice with NMSC.

- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission

- High school seniors named National Merit Finalists or College Board National Recognition Program awardees who are admitted to ASU.

- Qualifying depends on National Merit Finalist or National Recognition Program status. Nonresidents who do not enroll in Barrett keep their original New American University award instead.
