- Award
- In combination with other JMU scholarships, equivalent to in-state tuition and fees per year for four years. Up to 10 awarded each year.
- Deadline
- Submit the JMU Early Action application with the Honors College section by November 1, and the Dingledine application in the Madison Scholarships Hub by November 15 (displayed without a year). Finalists interview January to February; recipients are notified in late February.
- How to apply
- Apply Early Action with the Honors College section, then complete the General Scholarship Application and the Dingledine application in the Madison Scholarships Hub: two 250-word essays, unofficial transcript with senior schedule, and lists of activities and awards.

- Who can apply
- Incoming first-year students applying to the JMU Honors College through Early Action who have either a 3.6 cumulative unweighted GPA (or 89 on a 100-point scale) or a 1250 SAT / 27 ACT (official scores received by November 1).
- Good to know
- Recipients must stay in the Honors College, join a leadership and service community with a one-credit seminar each semester, and keep a 3.0 GPA. Cannot be combined with several other JMU merit awards.
