- $1,000 per department (state) winner; five division winners receive $5,000 instead
- Deadline
- Due March 1 of each calendar year; 2027 scholarships to be posted in early October

- Complete the online application with an essay, transcript and two recommendation letters.

- High school seniors who are ALA Junior members, with three consecutive prior years of membership and current paid membership, and at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Good to know
- Girls State participation alone does not make you an ALA member. Essays are screened for AI use.
