Award

$500 to $6,000 per year, renewable annually for up to four academic years (eight semesters)

Who can apply

Graduating high school seniors (spring/summer 2027) with a minimum 3.0 GPA who are permanent residents of AL, AR, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MS, MO, NE, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV or DC and US citizens or permanent residents. College freshmen and sophomores (2.75 GPA, age 20 or under on August 1, 2027) may also apply.

Good to know

Financial need is an important factor, along with goals, academic preparation, self-motivation, leadership and community involvement. Not for intercollegiate athletes (prior semester) or online-only degree programs; households of Great Southern Wood Preserving employees are ineligible.
