Award

Submit the online application through the USDA scholars portal with official transcripts and two 250 to 500 word essays.

Who can apply

U.S. citizens entering or attending one of the 19 1890 land-grant universities, with a 3.0 GPA and at least 21 ACT or 1080 SAT, majoring in agriculture, food, natural resource sciences or related fields (e.g., agribusiness, animal science, forestry, nutrition, computer science).
