Oklahoma Rising Scholars Award (formerly Academic Scholars Program)

Award

For entry year 2026 automatic qualifiers: $24,000 at research universities, $13,000 at regional universities, $12,500 at two-year colleges, plus a tuition waiver at Oklahoma public institutions; up to eight semesters. Institutional nominees receive $3,000 to $4,000 per year.

Who can apply

Oklahoma students who are National Merit Scholars, National Merit Finalists, U.S. Presidential Scholars, or score at or above the 99.5 percentile on the ACT or SAT (for fall 2026: ACT 103 sum of English, Math and Reading; SAT 1560).

Qualifying scores and award amounts for fall 2027 entry are not yet published; figures shown are for fall 2026. Only usable at Oklahoma colleges.
