This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.

Award

Many donor scholarships; 211 scholarships totaling $2.1 million in 2024.

Deadline

Deadlines vary by fund; many 2027 windows run November 2026 to February 2027 (some October 2026 to January 2027).

How to apply

Create an account on the CICF SmartSimple scholarship portal, complete your profile, and submit each scholarship application by its deadline.

Who can apply

Mainly Indianapolis and central Indiana students; some funds require Indiana residency or a specific county or school. Individual funds have their own residency, school, major, merit and need rules (for example, a 2.5 minimum GPA or upper third of class).

Good to know

Applicants gather financial information (FAFSA, income). The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship is listed separately.
