CFNJ Scholarships Universal Application

This is a group of awards reached through one application. Each award inside it has its own rules.

Award

More than 135 scholarship funds; more than $2 million to 271 recipients in the most recent year. Examples: James Moody Jazz Scholarship ($5,000 annually), Daniel McKinney III Memorial Scholarship (up to $20,000 over four years).

Deadline

Open and close dates vary by scholarship; 2027 dates not yet posted.

How to apply

Fill out one universal application on the CFNJ GrantInterface portal, then review and apply to the scholarships you may qualify for. Some funds are not on the universal application.

Who can apply

Mostly graduating high school seniors; each fund sets its own residency (for example Greater Newark, South Jersey counties or specific high schools), GPA (some require 2.5 or 3.0) and need rules.

Good to know

Evaluation generally weighs academics, activities, community involvement, work and financial need.
