- Meet A+ requirements at a designated A+ high school, then file the FAFSA and enroll full-time at a participating school.

- Who can apply
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents who attend a designated A+ high school for 2 years before graduation with at least 95% attendance in grades 9 to 12, an unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher, 50 hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring, good citizenship, and proficient or advanced Algebra I end-of-course score (alternative ACT/GPA pathways exist).

- Only for participating public community colleges or vocational/technical schools (and certain private two-year technical schools). Last-dollar award after federal aid. Eligibility ends 48 months after high school graduation or at associate degree.
