- District finals: $1,000 grand prize, $750 runner-up, $500 other finalists; awards also at club, subregional and regional levels

- How to apply
- Be selected by a teacher and sponsored by a District 5340 Rotary club, then advance through club, subregional and regional rounds.
- What you'll need
- A nomination from your school
- A speech or recorded oration
- A finalist round or selection weekend
- Who can apply
- High school students ages 14 to 18 residing in Rotary District 5340 (San Diego and Imperial Valley) who have not previously won first place.
- Good to know
- Five to seven minute original speech; no props.
