- Award
- National: First place $1,000, Second $500, Third $200; Conservation Message winner $200 (2026 contest). National art winner also gets a trip to the First Day of Sale ceremony.
- Deadline
- Entries go to your state contest by the state's deadline; check the state coordinator list for the current date.
- How to apply
- Complete the entry form (grades 7 to 12 also need the reference form) and mail the artwork to your state coordinator. State Best of Show winners advance to the national contest.
- What you'll need
- A finalist round or selection weekend
- Who can apply
- Students in kindergarten through grade 12 who are U.S. citizens, resident aliens or nationals; U.S. citizens at schools abroad enter through their state of legal residence. One entry per student; the previous year's national winner may not enter.
